Crops and Farming

Every crop Simply Cozy adds — where it grows, how many stages it has, and what it drops.

Simply Cozy adds a full new loadout of crops on top of the vanilla crops. Most crops grow on normal farm land and act like wheat for example, some are bush types and only a few are grown on a trellis or lattice.

Crops

These are planted on farmland with their seed item and grow through numbered stages exactly like vanilla crops, light level 9 or higher is needed, bone meal works, and breaking an not fully grown plant gives the seed back.

Odd ones…

In even the “normal” type of crops there are odd ones, Corn is a crop that is 2 blocks tall when fully grown. When fully grown its not havested by breaking but by clicking on it to “pick” the corn. then the crop reverts back a few stages. Rice is also quite odd, it can’t be planted on normal farm ground, but under water.

Bushes

Bushes are planted on dirt-type blocks or farmland rather than needing tilled soil, and are harvested by right-clicking them when ripe. Harvesting resets the bush rather than destroying it.

Tomato BushTomato Seeds6 (0–5)stage 51–2 Tomatoes
Coffee Bean Bushthe matching bean item4 (0–3)stage 31–2 beans

Blueberry bushes behave like vanilla sweet berry bushes, including the prickly-when-walked-through part. A harvested blueberry or coffee bush drops back to stage 1; a tomato bush drops back to stage 4, so it refills faster.

Coffee bushes are the fussiest about where they go — they need grass block, dirt, coarse dirt, podzol or farmland underneath. There are four varieties, all grown the same way: Arabica, Robusta, Liberica and Excelsa. Only Arabica currently has a roasting and grinding chain behind it (see Coffee and Tea); the other three are grown and collected but have no processing recipes yet.

Vine crops

Grapes and Hops don’t go in the ground at all — they climb a Trellis or Lattice, take about 20–30 minutes to ripen, and regrow after every harvest without being replanted.

Grape seeds are craftable two ways: one grape gives 2 seeds, or any vanilla seed (wheat, beetroot, melon, pumpkin) plus purple dye gives 2 seeds. Hops currently have no survival-obtainable source and are creative-only.

Sugar cane relatives

Cinnamon Cane grows exactly like sugar cane — stacked vertically next to water — and is cut into Cinnamon Sticks on a cutting board. The model knows which segment is the top of the stack, so a tall cane still looks right.

Trees

Olive trees generate naturally in Plains, Sunflower Plains, Savanna, Savanna Plateau and Windswept Savanna, with a larger variant that only appears in Plains and Savanna. They come with a full wood set — logs, planks, doors, trapdoors, fences, signs, boats — plus Olives and Olive Oil.

Maple exists as leaves, a decorative tree statue and the syrup chain, but there is no maple tree to chop down. The Maple Spile that produces syrup can be placed on any block.
