Cloud Files

Utility plugin

Upload files to your own sync server and get them back on every device. Everything is end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload — the server only ever stores unreadable data. Files count against your account's 3 GB storage quota, shown as a usage bar. Requires signing in under Settings → Sync & account.

  • How to install

Open Luma, go to the Plugins tab, and install Cloud Files from the list. It appears as its own icon in the sidebar, which you can drag anywhere in the rail.

  • Where its data lives

On your machine. Every plugin keeps its own local store — uninstalling Cloud Files removes its data with it, and leaves the rest of Luma untouched.

  • Needs an account

This one syncs, so it needs you signed in under Settings → Sync & account. Everything is still end-to-end encrypted on your device first — the server only relays data it cannot read.
