Sandwiches
Stack a sandwich layer by layer on a kitchen cupboard — its food value is whatever you put in it.
A sandwich is the only food in Simply Cozy with no fixed value. You build it physically, on top of a Kitchen Cupboard, and the finished item is worth the sum of its layers.
Building one
- Right-click an empty cupboard holding a bread-type item. A sandwich can only start on bread.
- Keep right-clicking with fillings to stack them up. Each layer appears on the cupboard.
- Finish with another bread-type layer on top.
- Sneak-right-click to take the sandwich off as an item.
If you try to take it off while the top layer is not bread, you are told to top it with bread first. That check is the only thing stopping a sandwich from being an open-faced pile.
Bread types
These three can be used as the bottom layer, the top layer, or as filling in the middle.
| Ingredient | Nutrition | Sat. modifier |
|---|---|---|
| Bread | 5 | 0.6 |
| Roasted Slice of Bread | 3 | 0.4 |
| Slice of Bread | 2 | 0.3 |
Slices come from a cutting board — one loaf gives three slices — and the roasted version comes out of a toaster.
Fillings
| Ingredient | Nutrition | Sat. modifier |
|---|---|---|
| Cooked Bacon | 3 | 0.5 |
| Sliced Cheese | 2 | 0.3 |
| Sliced Tomatoes | 1 | 0.2 |
| Sliced Lettuce | 1 | 0.1 |
| Sliced Onions | 1 | 0.1 |
| Sliced Carrots | 1 | 0.1 |
| Butter | 1 | 0.4 |
Anything not on these two tables is refused by the cupboard.
What it is worth
The sandwich item stores the exact list of ingredients you used, in order, and works its value out when you eat it. Both columns add up:
- Nutrition = the sum of every layer’s nutrition.
- Saturation modifier = the sum of every layer’s modifier.
And, as everywhere else in Minecraft, the saturation you actually gain is
nutrition × modifier × 2, clamped to your hunger bar. That multiplication is why sandwiches get
generous fast — see
Food and Nutrition.
Example. Bread → Sliced Cheese → Cooked Bacon → Sliced Lettuce → Bread:
- Nutrition: 5 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 5 = 16
- Saturation modifier: 0.6 + 0.3 + 0.5 + 0.1 + 0.6 = 2.1
- Saturation restored: 16 × 2.1 × 2 = 67.2, which fills the saturation cap outright.
Limits
- A sandwich can hold up to 512 layers.
- At 16 layers the game warns you in the action bar that it may start to cause lag. It will let you keep going.
- Sandwiches don’t stack — one per slot.
