Three speeds, or bring your own key

A built-in AI chat with three modes — Aurora, Nebula and Pulsar — served through luma's own proxy, or pointed at your own provider account if you would rather pay for it directly.

What's in it

  • Aurora, Nebula, Pulsar

    Fast, smarter, and smartest. If the server operator has configured a shared key it works out of the box with a fair per-user allowance.

  • It acts, not just answers

    The assistant has its own tools: it can write notes, add calendar events, plan dinners, make QR codes, track CS2 skins and install plugins for you. They run on your device, and it asks rather than guesses when something is missing.

  • Weighted allowance

    Nebula counts five times and Pulsar twenty, so one expensive reply is not billed like a cheap one.

  • Bring your own key

    Use your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral or Google key and talk to those providers straight from your device.

  • Keys stay encrypted

    Provider keys are encrypted at rest in their own key file, separate from the password vault.

What the assistant can do

Aurora, Nebula and Pulsar — and your own provider key, if you bring one — share the same 11 tools. Each runs on your device against the same data the rest of Luma uses, and the assistant only says something was saved once the tool confirms it. When a detail is missing, the tool hands the question back to you instead of guessing.

    Jumps to a destination you ask for — Home, Converter, Finance, Passwords, Notes, Assistant, Plugins, Settings, Account, Calendar, Steam Tools, or any installed plugin.

  • Install a plugin

    Installs a plugin by its id. If you ask for something a plugin does and you do not have it yet, the assistant installs it and carries on rather than listing steps.

  • Write a note

    create_note

    Saves a new note with a short title and a body that keeps your meaning intact.

  • Search your notes

    search_notes

    Looks through note titles and bodies and reads back up to ten matches.

Calendar 3

  • Add an event

    create_calendar_event

    Creates a personal calendar event, with optional location, description, all-day flag and reminder. The end defaults to one hour after the start.

    Asks you first if the date or time is missing or ambiguous, or the end falls before the start.

  • Read what is coming up

    list_upcoming_events

    Reads back upcoming events — the next 30 days by default, up to 90, and at most 30 events.

  • Plan a dinner

    Saves a meal to the Calendar's dinner planner, with ingredients, instructions, servings and cooking time if you give them.

QR codes 1

  • Make a QR code

    generate_qr_code

    Generates a QR code for a link and saves it in the QR Code Generator — installing that plugin first if needed. The code is shown right in the chat.

  • Find a skin

    search_cs2_skins

    Searches Luma's CS2 catalogue and returns up to twelve matches, with the wears each comes in and whether StatTrak exists.

  • Track a skin you own

    track_cs2_skin

    Adds one copy of a skin to Steam Tools tracking, using what you actually paid as the cost basis. It will never fill that in from the market price.

  • Check a price

    check_cs2_skin_price

    Looks up the current lowest and median market price in USD without adding anything to tracking.
