Fermentation Barrel

The fermentation barrel is your all-in-one fermenting station. Pour in water or milk, drop in some ingredients, and let time do the work. It makes yeast, dairy products, and drinks.
How it works
Right-click the barrel to open it up, and you’ll see two ingredient slots, an output slot, and a couple of tanks for liquid. Pour in water or milk by right-clicking the barrel with a filled bucket (or a water bottle, for smaller batches), then drop the right ingredients into the two input slots. If everything matches a recipe, it’ll start fermenting on its own, no button to press.
What you can make
Yeast: water, sugar, and wheat, left to ferment for about 10 minutes. You’ll need yeast for most of the drinks below.
Cream, Butter, and Cheese: a little dairy chain. Milk and a bowl make cream, cream turns into butter, and butter turns into cheese, each step taking about 5 minutes. Careful though, every so often a batch of cheese goes bad and you’ll get a rotten slice instead of the real thing.
Cider, Wine, and Grape Juice: proper drinks, this time. Each one is water plus yeast plus a fruit (apples for cider, sweet berries for wine, grapes for grape juice), fermenting for about 2 minutes. These come out as liquid in the barrel’s tank rather than sitting in the output slot.
Logistics
Getting your drink out: Once a batch of cider, wine, or grape juice is ready, just right-click the barrel with an empty glass bottle to fill it straight from the tank.
Emptying it out: Shift-right-click the barrel with an empty bucket to drain out whatever’s in the input tank. If there’s less than a full bucket’s worth left, it just gets tipped out instead of filling your bucket.
One thing to know: The barrel only works on one recipe at a time, and it figures out which one automatically based on what you’ve put in. So don’t mix ingredients for two different recipes at once, or nothing will happen until you sort it out.
